The situation

A process automation partner whose work was more sophisticated than their website suggested. In a field where the buyer cannot inspect the product before committing, the site is a large part of the credibility case.

What we found

The old site described services in the abstract. Automation is easy to describe abstractly and almost meaningless when you do — every competitor claims the same things in the same words.

What we did

We led with the work. Concrete examples of processes automated, what they replaced and what changed, ahead of any general claim about capability.

The dark treatment the client wanted was held to real contrast ratios rather than being allowed to drift into low-contrast styling, which is the usual failure of dark marketing sites.

We set a performance budget at the start and held the visual treatment inside it, so the heavier design did not turn into a slow page.

How it went

The site now sets the same expectation the work does, and leads with proof rather than positioning.

What we would do differently

We designed dark-first and treated the light theme as a variant late on. It shipped fine, but the light version took longer to get right than it would have if both had been designed together.

Questions About This Project

Yes. We hold dark designs to real contrast ratios rather than letting them drift into low-contrast styling, which is the usual failure of dark marketing sites.
